Diệu Anh woke up in a dark cellar, her hands and feet tightly bound. In front of her stood Hoàng Tử Phong, his eyes full of triumph.

“Tell me where the evidence you found is, nicely, and I’ll let you live,” he growled.

“You’ll pay for what you did to my father,” Diệu Anh shot back, showing no fear even though she was trembling inside.

Meanwhile, Bách Việt discovered his trusted assistant’s betrayal and realized he had been wrong to suspect Diệu Anh. He frantically mobilized every resource he had to find her, his heart twisting at the thought of what she might be going through.

“If anything happens to her,” he told his security team, his voice ice cold but full of boundless fury, “no one involved will walk away.”

Thanks to a tracking signal in the hairpin he had once given her, Bách Việt’s team found the secret cellar. He stormed in himself and confronted Hoàng Tử Phong just as the man was about to do something terrible to Diệu Anh.

“Tống Bách Việt, made it in time to play the hero after all?” Tử Phong sneered, but a flash of panic crossed his eyes.
